Coverage

Fiatsend is expanding across Africa and beyond, with Ghana as the primary market. This page outlines which countries are currently supported, what operations are available in each, and which mobile money providers users can transact with. As Fiatsend grows, new corridors and providers are added regularly.

Supported Countries

The table below shows the current status of each supported country across three core operations: Send, Receive, and Convert.

Operation Definitions

Understanding what each operation means in the Fiatsend context:

  • Send β€” Initiate a payment or transfer to a recipient in that country. This includes peer-to-peer transfers, merchant payments, and business disbursements. Sending is available as long as Fiatsend supports outbound transactions to the destination country's local payment rails.

  • Receive β€” Accept funds into your Fiatsend wallet or directly into a local mobile money or bank account. Receiving requires that Fiatsend has integrated with at least one local payout provider in the country.

  • Convert β€” Exchange stablecoins (such as USDC, USDT, or GHSFIAT) into the local fiat currency and vice versa. Conversion requires a live on-ramp/off-ramp integration with local currency rails and is currently fully available only in Ghana.

info

Ghana is Fiatsend's primary and most fully featured market. All three operations β€” Send, Receive, and Convert β€” are live with multiple mobile money providers.

Mobile Money Providers by Country

Fiatsend integrates directly with mobile money operators to enable last-mile payouts and collections. The providers available depend on the country.

Expanding Coverage

Fiatsend is actively working to expand coverage to new countries and providers. The roadmap prioritizes:

  1. West Africa β€” Nigeria is the next major market for full Send/Receive/Convert support.
  2. East Africa β€” Kenya and Tanzania are in pilot for receiving and conversion.
  3. Global corridors β€” The US, Australia, and Canada currently support bank/card-based Send and Receive, with conversion support planned where regulatory frameworks permit.
